Congratulations to the Blue Darter Marching Band on their memorable performance Saturday evening at their Florida Bandmasters Marching MPA, held here at Apopka High. The ensemble gave their penultimate performance up to this point in the season and represented our school and community very well. It is an honor to share this performance with you via YouTube as you will enjoy the incredible things that these kiddos are doing! For the evening, YOUR BLUE DARTER BAND EARNED STRAIGHT SUPERIORS!
On top of a great performance, our program was blessed with the opportunity to host this event for our District. We provided a fantastic site for 23, yes, TWENTY-THREE bands! J There were many positive comments shared in response about our village of Boosters/adult volunteers that, alongside our student performers, made this day a reality. We are truly blessed with great people who do great things on behalf of our campus. All in all, over 60 adult volunteers, and over 200 band members, helped make this day a special day for each program to come in and showcase their growth throughout the Fall season. We would also like to say thank you to our great Middle School Directors for their continued help throughout the day as well: Mrs. Langford at Wolf Lake MS, Mr. Sargent at Apopka Middle, Mrs. Tobin from Chain of Lakes, and Mrs. Bentley from Trinity. Each of these awesome people gave their time and talents on Saturday in support of our children!
I must also say a HUGE thank you to many of our campus staff that also made this day possible: Mr. Myers, Mr. Martin, Coach Wambles, Coach McDaniel, Coach McWithey, Mr. Lawson and the team of custodial staff on hand Saturday. You all had a great hand in bringing this event to life. Whether it be your help in trouble- shooting lights for the field, campus access, video assistance, custodial services, or taking care of the field paint, each of you had a tremendous hand in making this happen! And to Mr. Arnold, we say THANK YOU for allowing us to host our District and giving our students an opportunity to serve others!
