Football Season Wrap-Up 2018-2019

                                                                             Hitting the End Zone

As the football season reaches the end for Cypress, The school reviews what we did well, what we didn’t do well, wins, losses, and injuries that come with the rigorous play of football. For a review of the season we go over games where Bears strived vigorously to prove their worth and conquer the hardest challenges.

“This year was a tough one for Cypress, we had really good players but they all were injured during games,” said Jonathan Tobar (12). Tobar was a part of the football team until he was injured in the beginning and has been out of it for the entire season. Injuries that the Bears took this season caused a great impact on the team in a tough high school football division.

“I mean we had one good win, though. We went 30-27 against Windermere.”-Says Brett Armando Molina Hermosillo (10) who plays for JV football. On the 24th of August, the Bears powered through with getting 24 points in the second quarter and sealing the deal by getting 6 points in the last quarter to skim a score of 30-27 against Windermere.

“The amount of injuries caused a great effect on our kids, for next year we are going to get more recruiters out there and build up our strength for next year” Says Coach Canone. Coach Canone know that the Bears did not have a very good season this year and hope to bring better techniques to the table to help with that; such as training during off season and getting better equipment for the team to use.

This season was full of ups and downs, from injuries to success, but one of the major things about football is never giving up. Cypress has triumphed against many foes and have worked hard for those victories, only time will tell of next year for the Cypress Creek Bears.
