If someone were to ask you to choose your own superpowers, what would your answer be? There are the usual superhero’s powers – like invisibility, flying, super-speed, and mind control – that come to mind. Well, not for this teen. Bendy St. Louis replied, “I would be Mother Earth.”

Bendy’s reasoning was simple. “Put water where there no water,” and “trees were there no trees.” He explained that the ecosystem is beginning to lose its hopes, dying out slowly and how the animals are suffering because their environment is falling apart. Bendy sees what’s going on after watching documentaries, and reading about it on social media. “I know there a lot of people and country who don’t have the advantages like we do.”

As if choosing a selfless superpower wasn’t enough of a surprise, he went on to say that he did not want anything in return? “No, why be greedy with the power I’m gifted when I can make the world really become earth that we all know?”
