                                                                                       The Story of Brett Molina

                                                                                 (Barry Gonzalez Jr., Sophomore)

It’s a touchdown for the ages with this guy! Brett Molina is a freshman who plays football for the school team, The Cypress Creek Bears. Because of how he was introduced to sports in his hometown Colorado, he had grown a love for sports. He then moved to florida and began to play for his high school football team the Cypress Creek Bears.

Brett has cousins in Colorado. “When I used to live in Colorado that’s when I first started watching it. I was visiting my cousins and they’re always into sports & then because of them that’s how I got into sports.” Thanks to Brett’s cousins, he learned to love sports and eventually he started to play. He then moved to Florida, but that didn’t stop him from playing the sport.

Brett then joined his high-school football team, pursuing his passion for sports and having the pleasure to play it. This year Brett and his team had an interesting season due to some changes here and there. “It was different because I had to play in positions I don’t normally play, but I think I did pretty good.” Brett had a good season this year, but he’s decided he doesn’t want sports forever.

Brett has shown that he doesn’t want to do football as a career and won’t be going forward to it in the future. “Right now I only think of football as like a hobby, I don’t think I want to devote myself to football.” Even though he is quitting the game to go out and have a job more to his liking he did learn a good lesson from the game.

Brett had started out in Colorado, enjoying playing and watching sports with his cousins. Then when he moved to Florida and joined his high-school football team he learned a very good lesson from his time playing. “I learned to be a self-starter because I want to learn how to do things.”
