April 12,2019 — At a young age children long to bring pride to their parents. Junior Tishaly Ortiz is no exception. In a recent interview, she talked about how her family motivates her to be who she is today. It is very meaningful that Tishaly is able to have a strong and special tie with her family.

Tishaly is curious, independent, open-minded, thoughtful, caring, and motivated by her family. “My parents motivate me because I want to make them proud and do not want them to see me fail,” Tishaly stated. In this interview, a grateful and caring daughter and sister opens up about how her family is her strength.

“My favorite childhood moment was my sweet sixteenth because I spent it dancing with my parents”. The father-daughter and mother-daughter dance is the moment when the parents admit to adulthood but know that they will always have their daughter. Out of all the memories she could have picked, she picked the day spent with her favorite people.

Tishaly opened up about her overprotective best friend and that’s no other than her little brother. Her brother does not like it when she talks to other boys. “When he finds out I’m doing something he does not approve of he tries to playfully fight me,” Tishaly said. It’s great to have a person that you can disagree with and still be able to confide in.

“My family has sacrificed much at a young age and just for me.”
