Getting ahead of my time

April 12, 2019 –Jaemonie DeArmas( 9), He has a clear path as to where and what he wants to do in the near future with his life. Jaemonie DeArmas has taken steps to make sure that he WILL succeed in the future. An upcoming politician or a Private military contractor, the point is he has his life set!

Just like all people there are things that stand out, things that make him different from everyone else. He is an independent person, does not like to be told what to do; which is the reason why he gets things done right the first time. He is also very smart, both mentally and academically. He likes to push himself, find something challenging; whether that be reading a more challenging book or doing more things in the NJROTC program to get ranked up, Jaemonie takes advantage of the knowledge and skills he has and finds a way to make them better.

During the interview, I was able to delve deep into just what makes him stand out from the rest of everybody else. When asked what he wanted to do with his life, he simply answered, “Getting into possibly politics”.  Already interesting in itself, I was curious as to why politics, what was the connection between him and politics. Turns out its something he has thought about for a while.2925

“I had an affinity for it… since I was like in 6th grade. The internet influenced me, as well as my best friend Johnathan”. From a young age, this has stuck around in the back of his mind. Most people in high school don’t even know what they want to do with their lives (which isn’t a bad thing). Not only does he know what he wants to do after high school but he also has a backup.

Jaemonie took it one step further, “to be honest, politics is most life nowadays… to life, school, law, and even the military”. But what if that does not work out, what if going into politics becomes a big flop.  Jaemonie has also thought of becoming a Private Military Contractor which essentially is an armed combat or security services of the government and private organizations. – “If I can’t get into politics and something else comes up, my plan b is to basically be a private Military contractor.”

The interview ended with Jaemonie explaining the impact that politics has had in his life. “Politics has been most of my life, it’s what makes me the Man that I am today, and it introduced me to new people. And if it does not work out God forbid, at least I still have plan b.”
