1st Week of School

Wow students, you made it!  You survived your first week of middle school.  We spent time getting to know each other, shared what great books we read over the summer, solidified Mrs. Brown’s classroom rules and procedures, and previewed the SpringBoard text that will be used in class.

 

I think it’s going to be a great year.  I look forward to working with each and every one of you.  The SpringBoard thematic focus for the year in 6th grade is CHANGE.  What do you think you will like about Middle School?

    I like having to change class rooms and the electives I have, however, I do not have a favorite teacher! I like having this new experience because I never new that I could love on of my electives so much when I was not so sure about it last year!

    I like switching classes, when you switch you get to see your friends in the hallway, and I also like the variety of teachers! I love math since it’s been my favorite subject but I like all subjects and all my teachers. I love the two electives I chose also.

    I am totally going to LOVE middle school. I already know. I really like all the different teachers that i have, especially Mrs. Brown :D. I also like changing classes and seeing your friends. I can’t wait for when we finally get to sit wherever we want at lunch!!!

    This year at Maitland Middle School I’m looking forward to having sooooo much FREEDOM not anything like elementary school! I love switching classes by my self and we are going to be able to sit outside for lunch soon. I also haven’t been socked in the face yet by a 8th grader so I’m happy. This is going to be a great year————Hopefully!!

    I am glad that I made it through the first week too. I like that we switch classes, although I’m a tad bit nervous that I might be late to some classes. I also like that I have electives because in elementary school, I didn’t. I like everything about each one of my teachers. In middle school, it feels like you are being treated like grown-ups. I’m looking forward for the rest of the year to come!

    I think I’m going to love this year at middle school having different classes to go to and the electives that i have.i like the teachers i have and will love going to the media center to get books.overall i think I’m going to love this year at middle school.

      I would like to reply “lol” but it’s school, and yeah that says the rest. That’s one of the things I like about Middle School too. I also like that I get to have SEVEN different teachers and I like all the ones I have. I’m also exited for no assigned lunch seats that’s gonna be AWESOME. 🙂 😉

    I already love middle school. I love it because you have more freedom than in elementary school. I like all my teachers so the school day goes by fast. I can’t wait until we can sit by anybody at lunch and I like seeing all of my friends.

    What i like so far in middle school is that were not stuck in the same room all day.But there to far away from each other and you kind of have to run to class,but i really like the teachers there really nice.But at home its really complicated because i barely have time for anything but i try and make it work and i really try i’m just really shy later on in the year i will overcome my fear of being shy i hope you can understand that,but so far my year is going pretty good.

    What I like about middle school is being able to pick electives and feel like an older kid by being able to go to lunch by my self.

    I’m looking forward to meeting new friends and learning more than last year and have a whole new style of learning at school. I love that i get to have electives so i can do new classes every year. I can also be free and and follow my own trail.

    i think i will like the treachers and the new way of doing things. i like how i never have o do one c;ass for more than 46 minutes that way i will stay interested.

    This year is going to be a crazy fun year. I enjoy switching classes,when you get to see your friends in the hall and walk with them to class. I just can’t wait to sit anywhere at lunch time. I like all of my teachers. I bet this year is going to be a fantastic year.

    I thought i was going to be soooo lost,be late for classes, not know what to do; basically i was really nervous. It turned out i worried for nothing and so far it has been kind of fun. I get to pick electives, switch classes, and not have to walk in lines.

    The book i read over the summer was janitors. I really liked the book because it was fun and exiting with alot of action.
