Florida Polytechnic University (FPU), Stetson University (SU) and Ohio State University (OSU) visited Edgewater High School to talk about the exciting opportunities their college has to offer.

Florida Polytechnic University:  Considered the “University of Innovation” the Florida Polytechnic is known for its science, technology, engineering, and math or STEM programs. They currently offer three degrees in technology and three degrees in engineering. Students learn employable skills to better the ever growing technological industry. Although public, there are small class sizes and student to teacher ratios so you don’t feel like just a number in your classroom. There is on campus living, though it’s not required of any student in any year to live on campus. Many apartment complexes are located ten minutes from campus with shuttle transportation around the area.

Ohio State University: Ohio State University is more than they’re elite sporting programs; OSU is the home of nearly five hundred academic specialties and is 16th in ranking among public universities and ranked 4th in industry-sponsored research by the National Science Foundation. OSU offers an honors program for those who wish to continue the honors track.

Stetson University: Stetson University, home of the Hatters, is a diverse university which offers classes in Arts and Science, Music, Law, and Business Administration in its 18 graduate programs. The university has over 100 clubs for its students and a unique student life setting that makes all four campus’s the ideal place those looking for quality education and an exciting college experience.
