Edgewater wins big in overtime

The 2017 homecoming game for Edgewater vs. Lake Minneola  was on Friday, Oct. 13 and had a good outcome.

At the start, the home stands were mostly full in support of the Edgewater Eagles, even with all the rain.

First quarter, Eagles were down 6-0 but they soon scored and by the end of the second quarter still at 12-6.

During halftime they celebrated the homecoming court.  The rain stopped while they walked the field.

Eagles tied up the game 12-12 in the beginning of the third quarter.  Then, Edgewater intercepted the ball.  The fans went crazy.   The score was 20-20 tied at the end of the fourth quarter.

In overtime, Edgewater won the kickoff and scored a touchdown with the extra point.  Score 27-20  the  Hawks  have the ball and scored a touchdown.  They went for a two-point conversion and failed.

Final score 27-26, Edgewater won the victory at their homecoming game.  Everyone ran out onto the field.
