The annual talent competition, Brave Aid, will be celebrating its 27th year on campus by donating the proceeds to the Always Wear Your Seatbelt Foundation. The event will be held on Friday, Jan. 27.

Tickets for Brave Aid XXVII will be on sale during lunch from Monday, Jan. 23 to Jan. 27. Tickets are $7 in advance and will be $10 at the door.

The Always Wear Your Seatbelt Foundation was formed after the death of two former Boone students, Laura Grant and Edward Culberhouse in an automobile accident.

“I think it’s going to be a very successful and showcasing event because we had great talent audition this year. [The money] goes to the Always Wear Your Seatbelt Foundation, which is important this time of year. It’s great that it can get so local,” senior Sydney Geren said.
