BY MACKENZIE MOCKIn a preseason game against the Jones Tigers, the team recorded a win.The team started strong, but by the end of the first half Jones had caught up 29-26. Senior Blake Sanderson contributed to the lead by making two free throws with only two seconds left in the second quarter.

The beginning of the third quarter held little action for both teams until senior Robert Rimmer was fouled and made both his free throws. A few minutes later he shook it up and slam dunked the ball on a foul and scored yet another free throw. Senior Robert Irwin scored a 3- pointer with 59 seconds left on the clock making the score 39-36.

The Braves quickly racked up the points in the fourth quarter with Irwin scoring another two 3 pointers and Rimmer making four free throws. Rimmer also blocked two shots in a row from Jones. In the last minute of the game the Braves took a shot which Rimmer rebounded and dunked into the net. The Braves ended the game 59-41.

The next game will be on Nov. 24, at Wekiva against Hagerty.
