In a three set match on April 24, the boys’ varsity volleyball team came up short to Dr. Phillips Panthers.

The game begun with a recognition of the seniors on senior night, Robert Irwin, Samuel Wilmeth, Jeffery Morgan and Cristen Cherry as they played there last home game.

The Panthers took the first set 21-25, due to a 11 point run with a number of errors made by the Braves.

In the second set, the Braves went on a eight point run served by libero, junior Cooper Meredith. That run forced the panthers to take a timeout with the score being 24-24. Out of the timeout the Braves fell apart and dropped another set 25-27.

The team was not able to bounce back after being down 0-2 as the Panthers won the last set 20-25.

The Braves now hold a and will have their final game of the season at Cypress Creek on April 16, at 7 p.m.
