Tomorrow night is the final night of drama’s performance of A Little Princess: Sara’s Heart.

Sara’s Heart is an original production written by Rob Anderson about young Sara Crewe who desires to travel to India to see her father’s grave, and visit the land of her birth.  As a birthday present, Sara’s guardian takes her and her friend Becky on the trip where they stay with Mrs. Belinda Darvall, the mother of her father’s former employee. However Mrs. Darvall has malicious intentions which lead to trouble for Sara and her new friend Virika.  Senior Gabriella Beals is the student director.

“It was absolutely wonderful and I feel honored that peers would trust me with this responsibility. I love directing. I prefer it to acting,” Beals said.

Auditions for the play began the first week of school and the drama department has been working on it ever since. Tiffany Weagly, drama department head, encourages students to attend the show that cast and crew have worked perform.

“Students should support the theater department because the kids work hard, win awards, and the Earth without art is just ‘Eh,’” Weagly said.

General admission is $7 and priority seating is $10. The show starts at 7 p.m. and will take place in the auditorium.
