On Oct. 19, the Metros East CC Championships took place at Lake Nona High School. Both girls and boys placed fifth out of nine teams.

For the girls, senior Alexandria Meneses led the team, placing 18 out of 77, with 21:35.53.  Junior Claire Collins quickly followed in 23rd place with 23:03.31.  Then, sophomore Alexandra Sublette placed 33rd, with 22:55.51, and junior Mary Burkett immediately followed in 34th place with 22:59.04.

As for the boys, senior Tyler Chapman led the team, placing ninth out of 80 runners with 17:00.86.  Sophomore Anthony Turner followed, placing 17th with 17:35.00.  Junior Ryan Harding placed 22nd with 17:54.67.

Both teams will compete in Districts on Oct. 25, at Blue Jacket Park beginning at 8:30 a.m.
