The varsity flag football team  met the Evan’s High School Trojans on the field Thursday, April 10, in the Norton Baker Stadium.  The Trojans were not the toughest match for the Braves, and by the end of the first quarter the score was 6-0 with Boone ahead.

Throughout the rest of the first half, the game did not pick up much pace.  The score remained 6-0 until the third quarter when sophomore Emily Colvin made a stellar interception.  Shortly after the interception, quarterback Cassandra Ketchum made an impeccable pass to sophomore Katlyn Nicholson in the in-zone.

The forth quarter began 13-0.  While on defense, Emily Colvin played hard, smacking the ball away from the Evans offensive player attempting to catch it.  The Evans team ended up scoring a touchdown with six minutes left in the last quarter, yet they failed to receive the extra point.  In the end, the final score was 13-6 with another Brave win.

The flag football team will be taking on the Oak Ridge High School Pioneers Friday at 6 p.m.
