Bowling took on rival Edgewater Tuesday, Sept. 16, at Colonial Lanes.

The Braves started slow, but eventually found their stride and for the most part answered the challenge the Eagles presented.

The boys started strong with Stephen “Alex” Siew leading the charge by bowling a strike in his first frame. Dezmond King followed bowling a turkey in his first game and later bowling a third game of  215 points with a total of 543 on the night.

Freshman Alexander Betros helped the team, bowling all three games above 150, including two turkeys and a 518 total.

The girls took some time, but senior Victoria Allanson took the lead by bowling a strike to get the momentum going. Senior Morgan Rowland followed by contributing with three spares and one strike. Sophomore Delaney McBee would later shine with a 340 on the night.

The boys won all three of their games and beat Edgewater 2463-1643. While the Lady Braves kept it close, they were not be able to close the gap between them and Edgewater and lost 1673-1893.

Boone Bowling resumes on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Boardwalk Bowl against Timber Creek.
