The Lady Braves volleyball  participated in the Dig Pink tournament on Friday and Saturday at the Orlando Sports Complex.  In their second game of the night, the team faced Bishop Moore.

Senior Oakley Attaway and junior Marissa Hackett’s kills started game one strong. Both sophomore Nicole Lakman and junior Jessica Dippenworth contributed aces. However, Bishop Moore came in strong with a win for the first game, 20-25.

Game two started with spikes from both freshman Erin Carter and Attaway.  Lakman led an assist to junior Sarah Chapman to tie the game 22-22.

The Braves held their ground with digs from junior Morgan Smith and senior Neysha Gonzalez, but Bishop Moore proved tough to beat as the Lady Braves ended game two, 23-25.

While the matches were close, the Lady Braves fell to Bishop Moore 0-2.  The girls play two more games during this tournament, and then will play on their home turf against Lake Nona on Oct. 14.
