On Friday, Nov. 14, junior Amanda Oliver scored the first basket for the Lady Braves (2-1) in the game against Apopka (1-4). From the first basket to the end of the game, the Braves held the lead.

The second quarter began 13-9 and ended with junior Kelsey Byerly scoring a basket, bringing the Braves to 23-15.

In the third quarter, sophomore Angeni Worley scored a 3-pointer, thus beginning the fourth quarter 39-26.

The Darters worked to make a comeback.  At the end of the fourth quarter, each team fouled one other to put points on the board. Boone continued their high energy and held the lead.

The Braves won 48-44 with Apopka attempting a 3-point shot from the middle of the court in the last three seconds of the game, but missing.

The girls will take on the Colonial Grenadiers Tuesday, away.  They return to the Reservation at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 20, to challenge the Timber Creek Wolves.
