LINE UP. Before playing, boys and girls tennis line up to greet their opponents, Wekiva.

On Tuesday, Feb.10, the boys(2-0) and girls tennis (1-1) teams competed against Wekiva.

Representing line 1, junior Ashlyn Gage began the girls team’s success winning 8-0 in singles. In line 2, senior Camden Parrish followed winning 8-4 in singles. Freshman Grace McCarey also won 8-1 in singles positioned in line 3. Freshman Mia Murphy  finished 8-1.

During girls doubles senior Meghan Cotton and junior Ashlyn Gage scored 6-0 with the game ending early due to sundown.

In boys singles line 2, junior Maximillan Smith won 8-1, line 1 sophomore Matthew Workman won 8-6, line 3 sophomore Diego Salisbury won 8-0, line 4 sophomore Kian Paymayesh won 8-1 and line 5  freshman Parker Fluke won 8-1.

Later in boys doubles, senior McKenna Crager and sophomore Matthew Workman finished 8-0, and juniors Maximillan Smith and Matthew Morgan finishing 7-6.

The next home game is Feb. 11, against Ocoee, at 2:15 p.m.
