On Jan. 22, the Lady Braves basketball took on the St. Cloud Bulldogs.

The first quarter started with senior Kelsey Byerly scoring a 3-pointer. Even with a strong start, St. Cloud (20-3) took the first quarter, 7-10.

To begin the second quarter, senior Emily Colvin scored a 3-pointer tying up the game at 10-10. The Bulldogs then started to take the lead, but senior Sadie Desroches hit two pointer 12-12 to keep the game close. Later, senior Amanda Oliver shot a two pointer bringing the game to 15-12. The second quarter ended with the Lady Braves leading the game 21-14.

At the start of the third quarter, Oliver made the first points for the Lady Braves making the score 23-16. A while later, senior Angeni Worley shot a layup creating a 10 point lead at 30-20. The girls led the game at the end of the third quarter, 30-22.

To start the fourth quarter, Deroches shot a layup bringing the score to 34-32. The Braves (17-7) beat St. Cloud 44-29.

The Lady Braves will play University High School (5-10) in a district quarterfinal game at Colonial High School, Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m.
