On Monday, Oct. 3, the Braves golf team (2-2) fell to the Lake Nona Lions but earned a victory against the Timber Creek Wolves in their second to last regular season match.

Bessire finished with a birdie on hole nine (par 5) to finish with a 34. Bessire earned the “lowest man” title for hitting the lowest score of the match.

Starting off a little rocky, senior Charles Eakins had a rough hole one but picked it up with two pars back-to-back on holes two (par 4) and three (par 4). Eakins continued his match with a birdie on hole seven (par 4), and then a par on hole eight (par 3). On hole nine Eakins earned a birdie to end the match with a 41.

Junior Mason Toben started a little rough, but picked it up to head in to hole five one under for the match. Tobey finished with a 41.

Finishing up for the Braves, sophomores Justin Davis and Colin Smith boggied hole one. Freshman Gavin Giglio parred hole 3 (par 4). Then on hole five (par 3) Davis parred. Giglio hit a perfect drive straight down the fairway on the seventh. Lastly, Davis scored 44, the final one to be counted for the team.

The boys ended with a combined score of 160 which awarded them second place. They beat the Wolves by six points, but fell three points shy of beating the Lions.
