On Friday, March 3, the boy’s lacrosse team (6-2) faced the Edgewater Eagles (3-8).

Junior Cole Dalton began the game by making a save for the team. Junior Jack Reddeck also acted quickly, scoring the first  goal of the night, giving the Braves a 1-0 lead. Soon after, sophomore Liam Miller and junior Jaiden Corrente received penalties and were put in the penalty box.

Senior James Duckworth saw success with his shot on goal and Reddeck added another goal too, putting the Braves up 3-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Shortly after the second quarter began, senior Tanner Woods scored two goals back-to-back making the score 5-0. Senior Davis Pittenger made an assist to junior Colin Kelly and added a goal of his own, giving the Braves a 7-0 lead. With halftime approaching senior Landon Markese put the ball in the back of the net and Corrente quickly added two goals. At halftime, the Braves lead 10-0.

To start the second half, an Eagle made a goal, cutting the Braves’ lead to nine. This didn’t halt the team’s momentum. Both Pittenger and Corentte made another goal. Pittenger continued to dominate, adding another goal and an assist to Colin Kelly. Reddeck also scored in the second half, as the Braves led 14-1.

Pittenger continued to leave his mark on the game, scoring a third goal, and junior Sean Walsh made an impact, scoring the last goal of the game.

The Braves took home a 16-1 victory on the Reservation.

Come out and support the boys lacrosse team next Thursday at 6 p.m. as they take on East River at home.
