The NorthLake Park Community School in Lake Nona represents an innovative public-private partnership. Opened in 1999, the City of Orlando, Orange County Public Schools, YMCA, Lake Nona and ORMC came together to build a neighborhood center combining a new public elementary school, city park and family wellness/recreational facility. NLP has continued to have a tradition of excellence and innovation and is currently working to establish a Cambridge Academy within the school to allow students to continue to thrive and achieve at high levels.
Mr. Lee H. Parker
Mr. Lee Parker is the current principal of NorthLake Park Community School and has over
sixteen years in the field of education. He was born right here in Central Florida and has
been married to his wife, Genell, for 18 years. They enjoy travelling internationally and
around the United States. Mr. Parker is an avid reader, has a love for all genres of music,
and enjoys playing the piano. Mr. Parker obtained his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from
Nova Southeastern University.
Mrs. Gloria T. Riley
Mrs. Gloria Riley is rare true Floridian who was born, raised and educated in Sunny
Florida. Florida A&M University is where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Elem.
Education and she earned her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova
Southeastern University. Mrs. Riley feels that her 20-year journey in education has been
extremely fulfilling and rewarding all in Orange County Public Schools. Her passion is
spending time with her loving family, which her husband (William), twin boys (Kendrick
and Kran) and their dog Mojo. One unique thing about Mrs. Riley is that she is the youngest
of 11 children and she truly understands the meaning of, “It takes a village to raise a child”.
