Pershing- Pine Castle Elementary is a PreK to 5th grade school which was two schools with a great deal of history and has recently become one. The school is housed on the Pine Castle campus and in August 2019, will return to the Pershing campus as a K-8 facility. The school is part of the Innovation Learning Community with a focus on project-based learning. The innovation has a focus on providing students with the opportunity to apply standards and skills through the application in real-world problem solving activities.. Each grade level participates in a minimum of four project-based learning scenarios throughout the school year. The projects are engaging and provide student learning of academic content and skill development. The focus of project-based learning is to prepare students for successful school and life experiences. Students learn how to apply knowledge to the real world and use it to solve problems, answer complex questions, and create high quality products.
