ex. The group of climbers walked along the path.
 
A prepositional phrase begins with a preposition and ends with a noun or pronoun.
All the words between the preposition and the noun or pronoun are part of the prepositional phrase.
Some prepositional phrases tell when.
     ex. The climbers began their hike in the early morning.
