Today your child brought home directions and piece of poster board for the I Love a Book Day Body Mask project. I Love a Book Day is Thursday, October 31st, but the project is due the day before (Wednesday, October 30th). We will get to show off our masks during a parade around the school. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend this not-to-miss event! Details about the parade time and route will be posted on the blog as the date approaches.
Please help your child pick a FICTION book on his/her level to read that has an interesting character that he/she would like to share with the school during the I Love a Book Day parade. Get creative and use a variety of materials to help your character come to life (yarn, fabric, sequence, paint, etc). Also, please note that in 2nd grade students are allowed to wear outfits that enhance their body mask posters, but they are not allowed to wear “Halloween costumes.” Thanks for your cooperation with this.
