***Please note: The original Homework Log and directions incorrectly stated that the book report is due Thursday, January 16th. We are giving you a week to complete it, not a day! 🙂 So, the project is actually due NEXT Thursday, January 23rd.
On Wednesday your child will be bringing home directions for a snowman book report titled, “It’s Snow Secret, Reading is Cool!” It is important that your child picks a fiction book to read that is on his/her reading level. Book reports provide an opportunity for students to practice applying the reading strategies and skills that we’ve been learning in class. It is important for students to practice these skills with a “just right” book that will challenge their reading.
I’m attaching the directions for the book report, as well as a few sample pictures from last year. The actual snowman paper to write on and decorate will go home with the directions on Wednesday.
