Although we will use Canvas for our digital learning, I’ve included TONS of information on this website to give you an overview of our classroom that will get you ready for the fun year we have ahead of us. Hopefully you already received your first message from me through Talking Points (OCPS is no longer using Class Dojo). I will use this communication tool DAILY to post pictures, send messages, and keep you up-to-date on all the little details of the school year. Although you do not need to download an app (messages and announcements can be sent via normal text message), I highly recommend downloading the Talking Points for Families app. There will also be times when it will be easier to access electronic files, such as test reviews and other academic resources, on a desktop or laptop computer. After you download the app and/or visit https://talkingpts.org/, click on “Log-In” and choose “Family contacts” from the dropdown. It will then ask you for your preferred language and phone number. You must use your phone number that is listed on Skyward. We are unable to add any new contacts and any phone number changes must be sent to our school registrar, Ms. Gil, to be updated on Skyward. Your phone number automatically connects you to our class! The app is also nice because it allows you to easily message all of your child’s teachers, including music, art, P.E., and dance.
