This year’s homecoming theme, “Horror Nights,” is set to send chills down your spine on October 12th. The student body has come together to choose this thrilling theme, making it an event to remember. Throughout homecoming week, there will be a variety of exciting activities, including lunch games, themed dress-up days, and fun after-school events to get everyone in the spirit. The Student Government Association (SGA) has played a key role in planning and organizing the festivities, working tirelessly both in and out of the classroom to create posters, decorations, and more. This year’s theme will definitely be one to remember.

During homecoming week, students have a lot to look forward to with a lineup of exciting after-school activities. The highly anticipated Powder Puff game, where students switch roles with girls playing football and boys cheering, will be a fun new way for the student body to get involved. Movie night offers a more relaxed vibe, where students can gather and unwind while watching the movie Hocus Pocus. On Thursday, a neon-themed pep rally will be held in the gym. As the week progresses, plans are still being finalized for the parade. Junior Olivia Austin said, “As homecoming parade lead, I am so excited to work with everyone in coming up with new ideas for the parade. I really hope there’s a great turnout this year.” The parade offers a fun way to bring the community together and highlight the enthusiasm of the student body with all the fun floats.

During homecoming spirit week, students and staff will have the chance to showcase their creativity and school pride with a series of themed dress-up days. Monday kicks off with “Monsters Under the Bed,” where everyone can show off their spooky pajamas for a cozy yet eerie start to the week. Junior Olivia Burroughs stated, “I can’t wait for pj day because it will be a fun and nice way to be comfortable at school.” Tuesday is Class Colors Day, where each grade proudly wears their designated color, turning the halls into a sea of vibrant hues. On Wednesday, it’s all about teamwork with “Terror in Twos,” encouraging spooky duos to dress up together. Thursday brings out the ultimate school pride with School Spirit Day, just in time for the big homecoming football game. Finally, on Friday, things get even more fun as students and teachers swap roles, with students dressing like teachers and teachers dressing like students, ending the week with plenty of laughs and memories.

With homecoming week just around the corner, excitement is building as students, staff, and the community prepare for the thrilling “Horror Nights” theme. From spooky dress-up days to action-packed after-school events, the week will be filled with school spirit and unforgettable memories. Everyone is hard at work, finalizing plans and decorations to ensure this homecoming will be one for the books. As anticipation grows, everyone is looking forward to coming together to celebrate and make this year’s homecoming a true highlight of the school year.

Crafting Away. Each class is assigned a different hallway throughout the school and are all working together to create decorations to match each different theme for each grade level. Junior Chloe Joyce said, “I love working on different projects and posters for our class hallway and I love the theme of Stranger Things.” There are tons of different creative ideas students are coming up with to make decorations.
