This past week FFA’s ranks were increased by one tiny pig, named Ruby. Ruby is a teacup pig, meaning that she’ll only grow to be about 15 pounds. Another pig arrived just a few days later, a black teacup pig named Lucky.

While they will not be showcased at various Fairs with FFA, the pigs will make appearances at many on- and off-campus events, such as Ag Day, petting zoos, and FFA’s staple contest Kiss-the-Pig.

Pigs have always been a staple element to the Agriculture program at Timber Creek, and have many interesting skills, like the ability to be taught tricks like pet dogs, as they are the fourth smartest animal. Lucky already has some experience with training, and can do several tricks.
