Students have been patiently waiting for summer. After a stressful year, full of tests, quizzes, and assignments, students at Timber Creek can’t wait for 3 months of pure relaxation and vacation time. However, there are still plenty of final exams coming up and students are completely dreading it. Hours of studying and work doesn’t sound very exciting. This is why some students cannot wait for summer! Vacation plans have been made for the upcoming season already.
There is such a variety of fantastic vacation spots. From the warm, gorgeous beach, to traveling to different states to see family, or just visiting certain places around the world, there are plenty of options to fulfill your summer hopes and dreams. Also, you have the opportunity to find a new job or do some volunteer work to help your community. Explore your options and check things off your bucket list this summer!
It’s been a stressful year and some students are already looking ahead to the following year, which is most likely more challenging. In order to start off your next school year on the right track, you can be ahead of the game and begin taking online classes. To graduate, you must take at least one online course, whether it be HOPE, Drivers Ed, or even a foreign language. Get your graduation requirements completed early, so by senior year, you’re stress free!
Freshman, Nile Peoples, states, “My summer plans involve catching up on all the sleep I lost this year.” She explained how exhausting this school year has been and how many hours she spent completing homework for all her classes, including AP classes.
Sophomore, Jordan Evans, says, “I can’t wait to go to the beautiful beach and spend lots of time in the sun! Also, I am really hoping to get a summer job!” Sounds like she has her whole summer planned out and hopes to have a wonderful summer break!
Freshman, Seth Mackie, claims, “My family and I plan on traveling to Oklahoma to help my aunt on her farm. After we travel there, I am hoping to begin some online classes!” Hopefully, he can get those online courses out of the way and have a non-stressful sophomore year.
