Latin club represents at state competition

   This past weekend 10 students attended the annual State Latin Forum competition at the Wyndham Orlando Resort. The participants were complimented by the Regional director for an outstanding first visit to State Forum. There were 56 schools present and over 1,200 students competed in many different fields related to the Classics. All students were required to take one academic test but could submit a project in place of a second test. On average there were over 50 student entries in each test category. Ribbons were given for 10^th-6^th and trophies were given for 1^st-5^th.

Alex Aviles took 12^th place in Hellenic History Advanced

Lauren Baker took 10^th place in Derivatives II.

Michael Cunada took 5^th place in Hellenic History Advanced and 11^th place in History of the Republic    Advanced.

Alyssa Flores took 4^th place for her homemade costume of the goddess Aurora and 13^th place for Mottoes and Quotes Advanced.

Tanya Martin- took 7^th place in Drawings.

Hayden Mashburn took 8^th in Greek Derivatives and 9^th in Advanced Grammar.

Kendyll Sumler took 9^th in Customs and 12^th in Geography II.

Michaela Von Schaumburg took 3^rd in Customs II and 10^th in Mythology II.

Sabrina Warren took 4^th place in Dramatic Interpretations.

Alex Aviles, Brendan Ung, Sabrina Warren and Lauren Baker took 3^rd place in the Catapult competition

with assistance from Mr. Hobby and the National Science Honor Society.
