Timber Creek is home to some of the most renowned and honored clubs, one of those being the Timber Creek BETA Club! The BETA Club is focused around giving back to their community and the people who live in it. They acquire respect and good citizenship throughout each of their different service projects and volunteer work. Let’s see how the incredible club has shaped the lives around them!

BETA Requirements

To become a BETA member, there are strict requirements and criteria to ensure that the most elite students become part of the club. Your grade point average must remain at 3.5 or higher and you must have recommendations from three of your academic teachers. However, two of those recommendations must come from teachers who teach a core class, and the last one may come from an elective teacher. Students must be able to construct 2 essays to indicate why they should be entered into the club. This must take place prior to induction as well.

Upcoming Activities

The BETA Club is currently planning out and figuring out their next big activities, events, fundraisers, etc. Since the school year just started, they have just hand selected their new members and are getting everything set in stone! However, they are having members volunteer at the Timberlakes Elementary School to help with their upcoming fall festival, and at the Castle Creek Elementary School field day! They love giving back to the children! This all counts towards the BETA members hours, as well as other events they participate in!

Leading Others

The BETA Club is very well known throughout the school campus, and it is great to see them doing their best to give back. The events and activities that the members participate in help shape them as people, and also shape the people they are working with. Senior Maddy Johnson said, “This experience changed how I saw things and how much I appreciated what I had!” They work with all ages, whether it be children, teenagers, or adults. They lead by giving back to others, and they inspire their fellow wolves.
