On Thursday Nov.6 the English department met during B-Lunch to discuss transitioning to a new grading system called “FOCUS”. This change would be made at the start of the 2015-2016 school year. FOCUS is supposed to include more applications for teachers and students than our current system. These new features include teachers being able to assign tests or quizzes for students to access and take online. FOCUS is already being used by many counties across Florida such as Escambia county, Osceola county, and Clay county, plus many more.
