In the early days of December 2017 the Littles have had an exciting week. Within 5 days apart 18 year old Alex and 16 year old Ayrton were accepted into their dream schools. Becoming a viral inspiration, the brothers have shaken the internet with their amazing stories. On a late night of December 9th 2017, Alex, along side with peers and mentors, eagerly waited for the Stanford decision to appear on the screen. Jumping out of his seat, Alex and his supporters were filled with excitement when they found out the good news on earning a full ride to the University to Stanford. Posting a video with 30.1k likes and and 10.6k comments, Alex was overwhelmed with congratulations. On December 12th, 2017 more news of excitement stirred up in the Little’s family when younger brother, Ayrton, had too been breathlessly waiting for Harvard’s acceptance letter. Blown away by the response, Ayrton was overwhelmed with 544k likes and 187k comments congratulating him on his accomplishments for graduating early.
The two brothers have had a difficult past couple of years with losing their younger brother and being on the verge of becoming homeless. Alex and Ayrton were determined to succeed in life by fulfilling their dreams. This shows that every student has the ability to be successful in life no matter what obstacles they may face. Many students at Timber Creek have the goal of graduating early or becoming the top of their class, which is possible for anyone who sets their mind on their goal. Many students are distracted with other events in there personal life or even community and unfortunately allow it to get in there way of school work. Alex and Ayrton show a different side showing the importance of education and putting school before anything else.
After many across the nation have been personally touched by the message that success is a major key to living a good life, I thought it would be a good idea to ask students around Timber Creek how this message has touched them. Senior Reagan Spolier was asked how this message has affected him in an educational or emotional way. “I first saw this watching the Ellen Degeneres show and I was inspired to accomplish to my goal of going to University of Phoenix and it wanted me to work harder in my school work,” said Spoiler. I then asked Senior Jailene Cabral if this story changed any of your perspectives and how. “It inspires me to work harder and you have to appreciate what you have in life because are you only given a limited amount and what you have may different from what others have,” Cabral commented.
