- Winner advances to the Local Competition on Monday, February 24 at the University Club in Winter Park.
- You must be available to attend that competition if you win.
- Local winner advances to competition in New York in April.
- National winner spends two weeks in England over the summer.
What do students have to do???
Prepare a Shakespearian monologue of 20 lines or less to perform from
memory AND a Shakespearean sonnet to read with expression and understanding.
Attend a preliminary informational session on Tuesday, 2/4 EITHER 2nd
lunch OR after school in room 512. This is mandatory for competitors
UNLESS you are in Ms. Brendel-Horn’s advanced drama class. You will
meet last year’s TCHS winner who advanced to the NY competition.
No props or costumes; no editing; minimal introductory material allowed.
