Midnight in Monte Carlo

By Lenaia Powell

On Saturday, May 5th, the much-awaited “Midnight in Monte Carlo” prom was held at The Hilton Orlando, featuring a beautiful venue with elegant decor, but the real party was on the dance floor. Little room was saved for Jesus, let’s say, but everyone seemed to have a great time. Minus the random adult couple that wandered in to dance and the less-than-satisfactory DJ, everything went pretty smoothly. The attendees can thank JCC for putting together the dance, as they did a fantastic job. Hopefully, the freshmen and sophomores that missed it will be able to witness a deathdrop from the prom king in the future, just as we saw CJ O’Brien do.

Everyone who went seemed to enjoy dancing most of all, including our prom king, “My favorite part of prom was dancing with my friends and winning prom king, my least favorite part was leaving,” CJ expressed with a melancholy face. Post-Party Depression is real, people. Anaya Nunez also enjoyed being with their friends, especially the seniors, whom they’ll miss. They also declared that “the DJ who was bad at DJ-ing,” was their least favorite part. Disregarding that, here are some pictures of our students all dressed up for the occasion.
