Dear Community members,
Each November, in celebration of American Education Week, Apopka High School brings business and civic leaders into the classrooms, in a fun and engaging way, to talk with students about academics, careers and the future.
Volunteers engage students in lessons ranging from personal to practical skills such as managing a checking account, using credit cards wisely, setting up mock elections, technology demonstrations, and science experiments.
Whatever your skills, no matter your topic, there is a classroom of students waiting to hear from you! To get matched with the appropriate area and classroom(s), please register to serve as a speaker. Go to http://tinyurl.com/AHSTeach-In2017 to register to be a “Teacher for the Day”. This information will allow us to assign you to a teacher/classroom.
In addition, to completing the contact information above you will also register through Orange County Public Schools. Click here to be directed to the online form and choose Apopka High School Teach-In 2017.
Registration deadline is Saturday, November 11, 2017.
Feel free to share this letter with others that may be interested in participating as well.
