As part of the 5th grade curriculum, instruction will continue to develop a deeper understanding of musical concepts. Key learning objectives include development of rhythmic concepts (paired sixteenth-eighth notes, mixed meter, question/answer), healthy singing with diatonic scales (Do-Ti-La-Sol-Fa-Mi-Re-Do), and harmonic accompaniments (I-IV-V chords).
