Gabriel’s Submarine Sandwich Shop Review

Gabriel’s Submarine Sandwich Shop is a popular eatery located in College Park, Florida.

Founded in 1958, the diner has withstood powerful tornadoes, hurricanes, and tropical storms.

It is located two tenths of a mile off of Edgewater High School campus.

The menu serves and assortment of chicken wings, subs, milkshakes, salads, and is accompanied by cheese sticks, chicken fingers, and pizza on their kids’ menu.

Although the diverse items the eatery serves, one single item reigns supreme amongst Edgewater students— their infamous seasoned curly fries.

“When I first came to Edgewater my freshman year, the first thing people told me was that I had to go to Gabriel’s and get their fries. Since then, I’ve been a faithful customer,” said former Edgewater junior Joel Joseph.

All food is made fresh and is delivered as soon as it comes out of the fryer.

The little shop is dimly lit, but the hygienic quality is impeccable. Employees has no issue cleaning up a spill or a table quickly and efficiently.

“The employees are so hospitable. They’ll hold whole conversations with you like they’ve known you your whole life,” sophomore Jayla Spencer said.

Overall, I would rate Gabriel’s a solid four and a half stars out of five, only off by a fraction of a perfect score due to their outdated equipment. Nevertheless, the employees never fail to deliver a meal that is less than perfect.
