Thank you for all the special Valentine’s Day and birthday treats! I enjoyed reading all the sweet and thoughtful words on the apples and was blown away by the generous gift cards. A special thank you to Mrs. Highfield for putting together such a cute theme and giving us twice to reason to celebrate on Friday. It was a wonderful day!
Challenge Spelling Words: Words that End with -y (puppy) (F)
Since it is a short week, we will review our previous “Juicy Words of the Week.”
Although we will not have a new “Juicy Word of the Week,” I WILL be introducing our next habit from the “7 Habits of Happy Kids.” Habit #6 is “Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood” (Listen Before You Talk). It actually goes along perfectly with next week’s reading focus, which is point of view. We will discuss the importance of listening to others not only with our ears, but also with our eyes and hearts.
