The Programming Team President, Chandler Lattin competed at a collegiate programming contest this weekend. As a high school student, he was not eligible to win.
Out of 130 college students + Chandler (Total 131) ranging from college freshmen to 5th year seniors, he finished 23rd. The Programming Team coaches at UCF were impressed, and said that he finished higher than every freshman at the contest. He also would have made the UCF team if he was in college. They also invited him to attend all the UCF Programming Team practices this year.
Getting an invite to the UCF team is difficult. UCF has finished in the top 3 every year since 1982. They give their team members 15,000 dollar scholarships in addition to all their academic and Bright Futures scholarships.
