Art Club Project with ESE Students

The Art Club officers have decided to conduct an event with ESE students. The event was to paint pottery pieces and paper leaves. The ESE kids were supposed to paint the pottery pieces however they wanted and then color the paper leaves. The paper leaves were hung and the pieces were put on display.

After the meeting with the Art Club students about the project, some of them chose to sign up and participate. Kids that take pottery classes make and design the pieces and let them dry. The rest of the kids cut the leaves out of paper. The meeting was over at 3:30 pm and everyone went back home.

The event was to take place on November 3rd, sixth period. Everyone got notes from their teachers and started to set everything up. One of the art club students, Sun Ralamn-Sissa, claimed that, “It was very fun and a change to my routine. I enjoyed it and I’m glad I signed up.” The event was both fun for the art club and the ESE students.

After sixth period was over, the ESE kids started to leave but the Art club students stayed and cleaned up the dirty table and put everything back. Mrs. Cestero also determined that, “I think my students did very well and the kids from ESE were happy. Nothing went wrong, everything went smoothly.” She seems to be very proud of the outcome. She praised the students for doing so well and let them go to 7th period.
