The season started on August 30 with a whopping 30+ girls. Our first game was a success at Ocoee High School with the score of 122-48. This season has been great because two of our own swimmers will be able to swim at state.
Emily Lennon( Junior) team captain, who has been a competitive swimmer since age four, says that “the season was great, and I’m looking forward for next year.” She also told us that she enjoyed the season because she was able to meet new people on the team.
After a solid year, sophomore Harper Grabenhorst has enjoyed the season because she was able to bond with the team and loves the competitiveness within the team. The girls racked up an overall 4-3 record, going 1-1 in conference competition.
Coach Elise Catron says, “the girls season has gone really well. We have a strong group of upper level girls that have helped capture wins and our 2bd place at the metro meet. All three relays advanced to the Regional meet, and two lady wolves qualified for the State meet. There’s a large group of new girls with lots of potential, so excited to see where that leads the team in the next couple of years.”
