The wonderful coaches include Julianne Calcote for varsity, David Reed for JV, and Carolyn Deebs for the freshman team. “We have 9 seniors this year that have been competing since they were freshmen here at Timber Creek! I am incredibly excited to see how they lead this team and what they are capable of going into their senior year,” said Calcote. ”We only have 5 home matches this season so be sure to attend them when you can! We have an incredibly talented team this season and look forward to playing in front of our home crowd when we have the opportunity!” There is footage from the games on the volleyball page of the Timber Creek website.
Golf is also coming up for both men and women, both only having varsity teams. The boys team has had one win so far and their next event is at Lake Nona high school on the 25th of August. Boys and girls swimming is taking place this fall, with both categories having only a varsity team. They both have their first event on the first of September. You can find updates on the team information/roster and events on the Swimming page on Timber Creek’s athletic website. Both teams compete at the same events, they just have different categories for gender. They play through November 12th (the state meet) and have a total of 10 events. Tryouts have already taken place for both teams, despite the later start to the events. The talented head coach for both teams is Garret Hussey. “I’m looking forward to showing off how my swimmers are improving as individuals, and as a team,” Hussey said.
