What’s the big hype about Fortnite?
Fortnite is a universal game that came out in July 25, 2017. In this game you battle PVP and build to protect yourself from other online enemies by building and destroying forts and whoever is the last man standing wins that round in the game. It started becoming more known when students here at Timber Creek started posting about it all over social media sites like Snapchat, Twitter, and Instagram around late December and coming into the New Year 2018.
Many students like Halston Lear say, “It’s fun and everyone likes to meme out of stuff that happens in the games.” Also, all over Twitter people are making memes about the game and how “it’s a brotherhood” said by Liam Maguire. There’re many jokes that come with this game when it came out. Many videos, friendships, and memes were made because of this and it’s become a world wide topic.
This game is free and that’s what made people obsess over it. The purchased part of this game is when you go into story mode and is the full version of the game. Obviously, teens had decided to just stick with the free version because they’re able to play with their friends and still have a good time. It’s still very much so a popular game and is still being played and it’s now February. A lot of guys on social media are now saying that their relationships with their girlfriends are not as important as this game. Will fortnite make or break relationships?
