The Grammys
On the night of February 12,2017 the Grammy Award show was aired awarding many artists with one or more grammys. Awards differed from pop, rap, childrens and more.The night was full of excitement, surprise, and glamour featuring performances from Adele, Katy Perry, The Weeknd with Daft punk, Ed sheeran,Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Metallica, A Tribe called Quest, Anderson.Paak, Chance the Rapper, Kirk Franklin, Tamela Mann, Maren Morris, Alicia Keys, William Bell, Gary Clark Jr., Bruno Mars, The Time, Demi Lovato, Tori Kelly, Little Big Town, Andra Day, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, John Legend, Cynthia Erivo, Sturgill Simpson, Kelsea Ballerini, Lukas Graham, and Pentatonix. Celebrities came from everywhere to attend the Grammys like Rihanna, Dwayna Wade, Ellen Degeneres, and others.
The performances at the Grammy’s were spectacular, but some were liked more than others there were three that; Beyoncés “Love Drought” and Sandcastles”, A Tribe called Quest and Anderson.Paak “Movin’ Backwards”, “We the People”, and “Award Tour”, and Last but certainly not least Chance the Rapper,Kirk Franklin, and Tamela Mann, “How Great”, and “All we Got”. Beyoncé caught everyone’s attention with her introduction featuring her mother Tina Knowles, her quirky stunts and tricks like a levitating chair and holograms of daughter, Blue Ivy. Beyoncé won two awards naming her Best Urban Contemporary artist, and awarded best music Video for her song “Formation”.
The Grammys was a night to remember for Adele who left later on with five grammys. She was awarded Record of the year, Album of the year, Song of the year, Best pop solo performance, and Best pop vocal Album. Adele shocked everyone when she was presented the Album of the year award for her heart melting speech regarding beyoncé. “And I’m very humbled and I’m very grateful and gracious. But my artist of my life is Beyoncé. And this album to me, the “Lemonade” album, is just so monumental. Beyoncé, it’s so monumental.”, Said Adele during her speech. Adele’s speech explained how she believed that Beyoncé should have won this award because of how much of a role model,and amazing person she is. With the speech full of so much Beyoncé, and possible lemonade fans were left in tears.

The night didn’t end with adele’s big win. Many more awards were presented to upcoming artists and older artists. The award for Best new Artist was given to upcoming artist Chance the Rapper. Twenty pilots was gifted the award for Best Duo/Group Performance. The Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album was won by William Nelson. Over 84 awards for given to Celebrities all the way too midnight. However the party was not over for some. Many attended an after party for more celebrating and drinks.
Rihanna Fenty was seen drinking from a flask during the award show starting the party a little earlier. Also seen in the photo, Beyoncé and Adele holding the amount of trophies they received.
The Grammys was a night to remember full of fun performances, inspiring speeches, and honor. Many left with awards but Adele left with a total of five awards meaning she was the most awarded that night. This year’s was a good show and hope for next year’s to be bigger and better.
