Its that time of year again where every teenager is obsessing over Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights. Halloween Horror Nights goes from September 9th all the way to November 2nd. It is one of universals major attractions for the park because they manage to have something that attracts everyone. For example this past year of 2019 the Netflix show Stranger Things has been extremely popular, especially amongst teenagers which seems to be the main audience that Halloween Horror Nights attracts. Having haunted houses that range from the popular Stranger Things to the classic Goosebumps house there is something for everyone to enjoy.
When speaking with some students on campus, they were very vocal about how they felt about Halloween Horror Nights. Junior, Erika Le, talked about how Halloween Horror Nights was one of her favorite times of the year, theme park wise. “Personally, not a lot scares me but for some reason when I get to Halloween Horror Nights I get super spooked out, especially walking through the scare zones they have throughout the park,” said Le. This year Universal did a Zombie Land themed scare zone, which is a horror/comedy movie that came out in 2009.
A lot of teens from Timber Creek have yet to go and are waiting for October so that they can get into the holiday spirit. Speaking with Jonas Parr, a junior, he talked about how he still hasn’t gone but he goes every year. “I am still waiting to get my ticket although the more my friends go the more it makes me want to go and I’m beginning to give in and just go before October so I can see what it’s all about,” stated Parr.
