Mario Laracuente tries to hold his happiness and excitement.

It’s that time of year again, Halloween Horror Nights! Halloween Horror Nights, also known as HHN, is an event happening at Universal Studios Florida. The streets of Universal Studios come alive with all-new hordes of terrifying mutants, monsters, and maniacs. There are also nine horrifying haunted houses, five creature-filled scare zones, two outrageous live shows, and some attractions! The overall theme for this year revolves around the Festival of the Deadliest.

Mario Laracuente, junior, went to HHN for the first time this year and said, “The American Horror Story was my favorite haunted house because it had a lot of stuff that was scary. My favorite scare zone was The Purge because it’s my favorite movie.” When asked why he thinks teenagers love going to HHN so much he said he thinks it’s because they like being scared just like him. He also said it was his first year going and he plans on going back again.

Jabriel Nabong, senior, said, “The scarecrow haunted house was my favorite because it was very domonic looking and a lot of jump scares. He also said, “None of the scare zones were scary.” When asked why he think HHN matters to Timber Creek he said, “HHN affects Timber Creek because of how we get together with our friends and taught us how we’re all in this together.”

Tickets start from $59 plus tax. HHN started on September 15 and ends on November 4 so get your tickets before it’s too late!
