Timber Creek High School is full of females who live for sports and academics. The ladies in Timber Creek definitely show a great interest into girls’ basketball. These young women are starting their season stronger than ever with their 3-0 record. As I attended the Spruce Creek VS Timber Creek game hosted at Spruce Creek High School. The girls’ basketball team is definitely getting prepared for state championships this season.

Nya Aranda, 11th grader, getting prepared to make her winning shots for the Spruce Creek High School game December 2nd, 2017.

There are many females who can play basketball and are great at the sport they love. Nya Aranda, an interviewed basketball player, says she is ready for the challenge against Spruce Creek High School. Aranda is a junior and is a teammate of the varsity team. Aranda tells reporters a quote she lives up to when on the court, “Leave it all on the floor, with no regrets,” This quote represents her pride, and how she works hard for the win and will never regret her play. Aranda is not the only player on the varsity team; one person cannot carry a whole team, so the team spoke up as well.

All games require teamwork because teamwork makes the dream work. The team also worked up a quote to represent them all after that game, “We felt proud of ourselves on how excellent we worked together, and we were there for each other even when we felt like the game was going to end disastrous.” The girls’ varsity basketball team worked extremely well with each other even in their most frustrated state of minds. They continued to pick each other up, and won their second tournament game against Spruce Creek High School.

Timber Creek is not only a great school for academics, but have a strong force of athletic ladies. The ladies at TC have a passion for basketball, and who can blame them? Basketball has great adrenaline and is a highly loved sport. Come out and support the TC Lady Wolves throughout their current basketball season. Listen for announcements on their next game.
